Pretty sure older iterations of Denuvo have been cracked, that's why MGS5 and Mad Max are playable but JC3 isn't.
Most games with Denuvo won't get any boosts in sales because most of the games that have it suck, and eventually Denuvo won't be worth the price to use. The only exceptions I see to this are Deus Ex and Dishonored 2. Other than that, most developers that are using it are trying to cover up a shitty game.
