There's absolutely no reason those girls should have noticed him in the beginning. Their backs are turned and they're having a conversation.

THere's never been a game where characters LOS increased to reflections, may not be for a while. You're basically asking them to change character LOS from a simulated arc to full ray-tracing, the computational intensity would jump exponentially for an effect you'll see almost never.

>>330422952
there was literally a guard in Deus ex staring at a mirror in the bathroom who would notice you creeping up on him. maybe they just gave that dude 360 vision but no reason Hitman couldn't do it either.
>>
>>330423151
I think its because of how deus ex handled reflections
>>
>>330422952
It doesn't need to be that complicated. Just have another LOS actor with a smaller arc that links to the nearest NPC(s) within that arc.

If this were directed by an anal guy like Kojima, it would surely be in.
>>
>>330423151
Well they guy in Hitman was walking around so he'd be walking away from the mirror too so having his field of vision change all the time would be bothersome. Did the guy in Deus ex move away from the mirror at any time? Because if so, cudos to them for taking the extra step.
>>
>>330423315

I suppose thats true, although Kojima would take it in the other direction where he'd have a ton of small details added in and then forget to make the last 3rd of the game.
>>
Mirror LoS is not a technological barrier (it has been done before and it's very easy), but rather a gameplay thing. People are too stupid to realize that mirrors work, so they'd blame the game for bullshit moves.

>>330423373
No, I remember he stood perfectly still, didn't think about that.
>>
>>330422952
Just make the other side of the mirror a seperate room with a duplicate of every character so as you appear in the mirror's reflection your duplicate loads in which your target sees and turns around.

what is the "mirror" is just a window to a copy of the room with an npc acting mirrored to the first npc, the mirror npc line of sight is as valid as any other npc, your character model can also be mirrored on the other side easily

Anyone who played the actual game here? How are the gameplay mechanics and A.I. in comparison to Blood Money? Improved? Have they added anything new to it or is it more of the same?

I heard that targets don't start moving at the start of the level but once you hti some trigger point in the map/field, please tell me it ain't so

How dynamic are the missions, A.I.?

FUCKING hell that is not good goddamn
>>
>>330428821

For Paris there is allegedly only one trigger, once you enter the building or the gardens it'll begin the fashion show which is on a timer as before.

The proximity triggers are for NPC conversations, so background NPCs that start a conversation when you're close by and then move on when finished. Not ideal but considering they're just background NPCs on a mission where there's 300 of them it doesn't make too much of a difference.
>>
>>330428946
Yeah I was mainly referring to how target moves if I stay at my respawn/start point (does he move or do I need to move in order for him to start moving)
>>
>>330429089

From what I've been told the woman target moves around upstairs independently, the guy goes down the stairs dramatically only when you're inside the building or on the building grounds. Once he does that he moves around independently, the models start walking on the catwalk.

After a certain amount of time the show comes to a close and he goes up on stage, this appears to be a once-off event that happens after a certain period of time. It may be possible to delay or speed up when this happens through opportunities, I don't know.

From what I know there are opportunities that modify the target's schedule but they don't stand around waiting for you to get close enough.

Obviously if they're not standing directly in front of it they wouldn't gain the vision. You can still easily code in a certain area where if they face the mirror at a certain direction they can also see directly behind them.

Like this doesn't even have to be related to the mirror, they could just code in certain areas that when the AI stands in them and faces a certain way they can see differently.

it just feels like a weird attempt to copy call of duty. it's an unnecessary feature in a singleplayer game, and especially one with a focus on stealth rather than gunplay.
