Just counting main series here since Nintendo have turned it into a cash cow anyway, but Pokemon. There are mediocre/ok games, but none of them are bad. Closest games are probably ORAS but I didn't hate playing through it.

Ruby/Sapphire, Diamond/Pearl and Black/White can all be classified as bad in my view. Their updated versions were better. And even then, I'd say Platinum and Black/White 2 were still bad thanks to super slow combat, long animations and linear progression. Its not being contrarian when Final Fantasy fans themselves don't like half the games. And its not a big surprise, since the series focuses so hard on throwing out all past ideas and starting over each game. As well as different teams working on each game. Its the exact opposite of consistency. Its chaos producing the occasional good game and a host of not so good ones in between.
