That's a hard question as most series start out good and then end up being shit. The only one that I can think of that is an exception is the Witcher. I guess you can say Assassin's creed when from mediocre to good to shit to good for one game and then back to shit. Most series I think of peak at their second game.That's kind of sad.

Syndicate is a 7/10 if youve never played another AC game. 5 or 6 if you have, but it and unity are just a damn let down after how awesome AC 4 was.

4 was good, apart from the assassin story and modern story part.
Pirating can fet boring after a while, I just Sank boats most of the time.
I dont see the hate for unity, yeah both modern day and arno story is shit, but God damn revolutionary Paris is beautiful, every quarter is unique, the interiors are well designed, combat you had to actually think and the revamp to parkor was well needed and the animations were nice looking.
Best part is they brought back actual real assassination missions with mutiple ways of doing it.
Its a good game imo
