Genre? You could always get something like Brutal Doom or Duke Nukem Eternity, which are awesome revamped versions of the original. Fresh gameplay but still lightweight. Otherwise maybe consider a crunchy 3D game like Delver that offers lots of replayability while not being super taxing.
