If you already have leg day and you're still having trouble I suggest also taking run with knives
The hitstun also counts for something so you have to know the range on "can I hit him from here or do I keep sprinting"
Also you can see stamina if you're close enough to someone to know whether you should bother chasing or not

You already do loads a damage with golden arm. Also since you're using bloodbath I'm assuming you're throwing knifes. Spears, especially tier 2 javelins are much better for throwing. Or if you want to be full golden arm build you could take that cripple with blowgun. Makes them super slow + puking = free throw hits

No, they're skill based. I constantly beat people with my tier 1 crafted knife when they have much better gear/armor simply because I read them and their combat patterns or get the drop backstab on them by being sneaky.

When you've spent 10 minutes sneaking around and narrowly avoiding discovery, picked up a bunch of rare equipment and are terrified of losing it, then you get into a stab fight, you aren't really noticing how bad the animations are, you're just reading the enemy and fighting for your life. Weakness is an underrated wound if you have armor or the % damage reduction perk. The stamina drain perk on bludgeons/axes is also amazing.

While I agree with this, the hit reg isn't perfect yet so sometimes I'll block and the first attack they throw quick enough goes through my block because on his screen I'm not blocking yet. Plus holding block is just asking for a push.
You can also bait people by charging an attack > waiting for them to block > cancel your charge by blocking really quick > push them > get free hits

Currently have like an 80% win rate.
Stealthy, Running with Knives, Leg Day with the Stalker airdrop.
Kill a few people, call another drop for another stun gun. Probably only 3-4 people left at this point, use stun gun charges to murder the last two.

The perfect timed block thing? I guess, but doing that kind of timed counter shit online seems janky. Getting knocked back from attacking a block just means you can't be a retarded attack spammer, and it gives the underdog in a fight a means to deflect overwhelming attacks, even if they're outnumbered.
