that's exactly what I though last time I replayed the dlc
even if you aren't actually killing the baby, it's implied the slaves are going to let it die in exchange for a slim chance at finding a cure
the slavers on the other hand have an actual scientist, a working lab, and they're extra careful with the baby even if it means taking several years to find a cure
honestly the only people I've seen side with the slaves are tumblrinas who think slavery is the worst most evil thing in human history, when really it's a pretty efficient way to run a civilization
