Was just about to say that.
Only game I've played that gave it was Moe Chronicle and at the time I was of the 50%-ish to have it.

No, I'm not 13.

Who /autism/ here?

Ah, you must be 16, sorry, big guy.
Cheevos can create more lasting appeal for the games you already like. The games often have achievements for stuff that I might not usually go for on my own. But if the game is really enjoyable already, there's really no reason not to try to get them all.

Oh, now that I see things from your point of view, I understand now. Thanks for your time anon, sorry for calling you 13 years old.
>>330328053
Agreed. When I got my PS4 I told myself I'd try my best to get achievements in all my games as long as they were also enjoyable to play. Can't bring myself to grind anymore in Disgaea 5 to deal 10billion damage in one turn, but I got everything else and I plat'd Dragon Quest Heroes.

Pretty sure devs do this just to track player data

If you're 13. As a guy who has been playing games regularly since 1990 (obvious far longer than you've been alive), I don't really see the appeal, since they're still a relatively new, and entirely useless thing.
>>330328053
I always hunt for the nastiest, meaniest cheevos out there and it always feels me with happiness when I see that ~1% or less of all players have this. And the more popular the game, the better, it means more people tried and failed.
Sure they might say stuff like "Oh I don't care about achievements" but I'm sure they couldn't beat Witcher 2 on Insane, or win a deity game on Civ

>achievements are useless
As opposed to playing video games? It's such a productive pastime, right?
>achievement requirements: donate to the kickstarter of the game
>>330328392
It's a completely useless aspect of what you're positing is already a useless pastime, which makes achievement hunting an order of magnitude more useless. It's the smallest matryoshka doll of uselessness.
You don't even really get bragging rights, because I can guarantee that absolutely nobody but you cares about your achievements.
>achievements require owning DLC
never EVER
