Do you know Saya no uta? if you have play to this really beautiful VN, recently i have replayed and i see 3 images of the monster can be seen in the game. It's the human seen by fuminori but if you put together these 3 images you can see the " full " monster. So there is the true form of saya :

MC has something that makes him see the whole world as a hideous place and all the humans and animals as disgusting monsters, he plans to kill self but then he meets this girl that actually completely looks like a girl, so she makes him forget about kill self. Girl is actually the only real monster of all the things he sees. Not really a spoiler, it's pretty implied and revealed somewhat earlish in the VN. Actual spoilers are the three endings, the good and normal ending everybody should get whereSaya magically cures MC and now he can see everything clearly again, but she never meets him again and he goes to an asylum, the second possible best ending, whereMC doesn't want to get healed and goes on a murder spree to protect Saya and eats human meat to survive, until they both get killed and Saya gets repetitively hit with an iron pole as she crawls to MC's dying arms, and the fucked up ending, whereMC fugs Saya and with his semen she releases spores that transform everybody into monsters, erasing human like in the world, but effectively "curing" MC, as every monster looks beautiful to him now.

Madoka certainly came out of left field though, and it's more a deconstruction of the Magical Girl genre than anything else. It shows what would really happen to middle school age girls who are suddenly forced to fight horrific monsters. It can also be a coming of age type analysis that shows what would happen to children who make extremely poor choices and have to face the lifelong consequences.

It was cool. All the endings were great and I loved the way it made you question the morality of all the characters. Everyone was sympathetic.Saya no Uta takes place in the Type-Moon universe.
About how long does this game take to complete? Might give it a try.

I think Saya no Uta is one of the best entries into the VN world, since it has a very strong kick to it, it's rather short, and the music is gorgeous too.
