L, M, and H linkers hit one, two, or three times respectively
Each auto double has different animation and speed for its strength. Lights are fast, Heavy are slow, Medium are in between
You can also do manuals instead of auto doubles, which are essentially 1FL and make the combos harder to break.
So now that I've explained to you KI is not a guessing game, your next words will be "yeah well it's still a shit game"
