Try booting without the card inserted, if it does then it's trying to launch homebrew (for the wrong version) but not working. So change the theme and that will break homebrew and it should work.
If that doesn't work then just boot into recovery mode that Nintendo itself added and upgrade the firmware (also remove the shit from your SD)

None at all. You just drag and drop the games and most current list from the Sky3DS site and you're golden, pop it in and play. You can't play eshop games though. It wont fuck your 3DS up and the games will run at native speed.

I was thinking about getting it but I already own OOT3D and $20 for a powersave sounds better than $100 for sky3ds, but I really like the option of the flashcart.
If the skycard is updateable and won't die soon then it would be worth it I guess.
