There's really no need to be ashamed of it. Dark souls is supposed to be a fun adventure game, not a gauntlet of difficult challanges. The unforgiving difficulty only serves the purpose of creating tension.

Because Anor Londo should have been the last area. You're way overlevelled when you finish it and the rest of the game seems halfbaked.
None of the bosses post O&S are even slightly difficult, the DLC being the obvious exception but even that isn't too difficult if you have been progressing normally through the game and your damage output is good.
I actually had a bit of trouble with Gwyn. I didn't have high fire resist so I took chip everytime I blocked and didn't know you could parry him.

It's basically fanservice as a dlc, nothing wrong with that, but the only interesting boss in it was Manus, because he brought something new to the table.

From NG+2 up they will start multiplying faster, and they have much higher defense.
People complain about Gwyn but Nashandra was by far one of the easiest bosses in DS2, I think only flexile and old dragon slayer are easier.
