For what it is, and tries to be Blood Dragon does the best job. Though overall in terms of achievement, I'd say 4. Haven't tried Primal yet.

Never played 1 or 2. 4 was same shit as 3 so I dropped it after first time playing. Blood dragon was really cool but I never beat it only played like 1/4 of it. Watched my friend play primal for a bit at his house it looks good I'd play all the way through

2 hands down, just got a good 3 hours into it today. None of the casual or "LOL so ridiculous" shit of any of the other games. Probably one of the most gritty and depressing shooters out there, I love it

I only played 2 and 3. 3 fucking sucked; I hated all the characters and the fact that you are superman. Didn't have that any of the feeling that two did. They shove the story down your throats. I don't even like my character.

Once again all I can see with farcry primal is just 3 without guns and honestly that was most of the fun was getting your load out perfect so then you are ready for any situation and I can't see that happening in primal
People listing 2 are hipsters, everyone knows BD is the best and doesn't overstay its welcome either.
2 had good ideas, but fucking awful execution in too many areas.
Respawning checkpoints that respawn too fast (and that you can't dive past), shit AI, weapon degrades too fast (that dart rifle lasts like 12 shots) while the enemy has no issues ever with their weapons, the entire malaria implementation was just one big annoyance, story and characters were bad, etc.

Far Cry 2 has a lot of bullshit but it seems to try and be a little ambitious, at least. Haven't played Primal yet. Blood Dragon a GOAT.
1, because I like entering a perimeter and figure out a way to defeat all 15 hidden snipers and 16 rocket launchers in there all in one go.
