Well Ubisoft is somewhat involved so its immediately hated. It doesn't deserve as much as it get's, and honestly it would fly under the radar other wise, but this is what we get.
I played the beta and didn't really care too much for it.
The environments are boring as fuck, and NYC is built on a grid so even the roads and paths are boring. There's hardly any enemy variety and they all are bulletsponges that just yell out the same 3 canned phrases over and over.
Really not my kind of game.

There's one original game in recent years that they published and that was From Dust. And even that was just a revival of the god game genre.
Every "new" IP is just assassins creed mechanics in a different skin. MMO grinding to complete MMO quests in a single player game. This time it will be in a multiplayer game. It'll still be the same shit.

I'm more interested than I was before (did not give a shit) but I'm still a little wary. I think I'll wait for a stream I like to play it and see what It's like with a group playing together. I enjoyed the thrill of the DZ, and I'd hope the skills give me an interesting enough recon build. I just wanna heal,snipe and shoot my revolver with some friends.The game's boring alone though so that's the other thing that bothers me.

Gaming got too popular, and killed itself.
I burned out on the beta. It literally felt like I'd beaten the game with the beta.
Dark zone has too few players, the map is way too big, dz and main game, with nothing in it, main game especially once you finish those fucking once off side missions.
Actual combat is a chore. Enemies have too much armor. Even the best guns, it can take nearly half a mag to kill a single yellow. I get they don't want it to be spongey, but enemies should stop scaling at some point because the rewards don't scale at all.
Lastly I didn't get a feel for the story at all. I really like the idea of it, not surprisingly, but the betas showed off nothing, it was literally a set of fetch quests.
That said, very likely I'm gonna rent it from a redbox for a couple days, see how it is at launch. Maybe if some of the more damn in bugs were fixed I'll pick it up in a few months after everything else I want to play is out and I've played it.
Plus I bet trading will really change shit up.

If the game doesn't have a raid it will have a very small player base. Lots of ex-Destiny players are hopping into Division with hopes of there being pve content.

That's because Destiny is all instanced crap. Division feels like a much better version with more seamless transitions.
It's what Destiny SHOULD have been.
Now, Division isn't perfect. There needs to be some major tweaking to Dark Zone PvP (right now way too rough to go rogue without a dedicated team that ambushes an extraction and gets out of bounds).
I'd like to see them make it so you only get pinged on the map every once in awhile and only within a certain range, as opposed to letting everyone on the server jump your ass and track you incessantly.

You can play it solo. Most of the content is PvE, so it shouldn't really matter if you're in a group or not. There are places called Dark Zones where you can be ganked by other players, in a PvPvE way, but even then you could still play solo and be alright.
