Puzzles games.
Most "puzzle" games are absurdly simplistic and idiotic, have bad graphics, have no story, have bad music, etc etc. Pretty much every feature of a videogame is badly done in a typical puzzle game.
The few puzzle games that are actually decent quality are usually crossed over with some other genre to a large degree, like the walking/exploration game The Witness

I'd say the worst genres are by far the ones that are the furthest from games. For this reason, exposition based games, walking sims and bonafide tech demos are in my top 3, it'd be hard for me to pick one but I think walking sims do the most damage.
I would say visual novels, but those aren't even video games, so I'll go with MOBAs.

Mobas have the tendency to get the worst out of people, also you have to rely not on your on strength but mostly on the abilities of your team. Its the least-comfy, most rage inducing genre. You can not get better by playing, you have to work through hours and hours of guides. There is nothing fun in those games, except "owning" others. Why would I even want to play a game that makes me unhappy in the first place?

I got 4000 hours in Dota and the most competition is trying to get mid lane or carry for the average (read: 99% of the population) player.

Walking simulators, and probably the modern survival horror which is anything but. It's become either action games, or jump scare bullshit like FNAF.
I can give amnesia credit for having amazing atmosphere and some neat hiding mechanics and stuff, so that gets a pass but shit like FNAF is pure cancer that ruined the genre.
