Six levels at launch or total? I'm not sure I find either acceptable.
That headline is completely wrong, though.
Hitman has eight levels minimum, because that's the number of locations (seven) along with the two different missions from the beta. Then, you have missions that will be made for the same location but with different buildings, A.I. patterns, targets, etc. So let's go as pessimistic as possible and say we only get 3 more of those. That's a bad estimate of 11 levels total.
Also, it's six months of updates, not three. And it will probably be more, honestly, because we all know how episodic games work. There's always delays.

There will only be three missions at launch, unfortunately.
As for missions total, we know for sure we're getting eight, but we're guaranteed to get at least one more of that because they have already talked about using areas and changing buildings, NPC's and shit inside of them to make new missions (As the Beta demonstrated)
So, a good estimate would be around 11 to 15 total missions by the time the game is fully complete.

Blood Money only had around 15 levels. If the gameplay is similar or better then I don't really see an issue.
The only thing I don't like is if you wait for the whole game to be completed, you miss out on the limited time content like the emergent targets that you only have one shot of killing.

Than 10$ more for each of the 5 additional levels.
That totals for $65 or you can buy all of it for $60 now.
So you get to try the game with the option to stop after spending $15, just for the price of additional $5 . If I believe I'll love it, I'll pay $60 up front (like any other game out there).
