I'll be honest I have a legit question, my friend and I played the Diablo 3 at launch and beat the last boss with it's laughabley shit ending. Then that's it, done. How do people play this for hours upon hours, what's the replayability?

Its alot better now in my opinion especially with the new dlc and all the difficulties. Also in the dlc they added nephalem rifts and adventure mode that make it alot more replayable. But thats just me. I like grinding and fighting the same shit over and over. But most people havn't played since the first year of release so they wouldn't know. And it is pretty dead but who cares.

Grim dawn is great. Graphics aren't amazing but everything else about it is the most enjoyable diablo-like i've played since D2
Levelled and grinded a bit and then quickly got to a stage where I just spam one abilitiy thanks to a ridiculous set bonus and everything dies. Don't even need good rolls on items, it's just about getting particular set items and watch damage scales exponentially to a point where difficulty no longer matters much. After that it's just waiting for 1-2 particular items to drop to reach the apex of gear and meanwhile upgrading gems of which 80% are badly designed adn could not be used on any build or class.
Speaking of build - the worst is that you can't have any build you want, you are supposed to have the build the set is designed around and as there isn't a set for every possible spec the entire class becomes a pre-defined piece of boring shit. The worst part is bad balance and you getting a set that doesn't work as well as sets of other classes because some are broken as shit and others are useless in end-game.

Grim Dawn is so bad. I understand that someone can have different tastes, but I can't see how anyone could like that abortion over anything else on the market. I mean, a free game (PoE, if you never heard of it) is better in every conceivable way and it's FREE. GD is $15. It should be other way around. GD seems like it was made for an elementary school project back in 1995 and they just now decided to hand it in. Everything about it is archaic. Shit graphics, shit music, shit gameplay, shit writing (Titan Quest clone if it were fallout game... WHY).
Yes, I mad. I waited forever for it and spent good money on it and a free game was 50x better. I'd sooner play diablo 3 than reinstall that shit show.
