I love the XL screen, but yeah this is one of the issues.. it's barely portable. It does fit in your jeans pocket (unless you wear skinny jeans like a faggot) but it's kind of heavy for a handheld. So I barely take it out for StreetPasses.

Don't get one, I am going to sell mine. It had ONE good exclusive, Gravity Rush, and it is getting a superior port+sequel on PS4. The ONLY good thing about the vita is PS1 and some console games on the go but it is nowhere near worth it.
The vita was one of the biggest blunders in modern gaming, Sony's complete and utter lack of support plus the fucking retarded memory cards and obscene launch price killed the system before it came out.

I actually JUST got done softmodding my old3DS. Think about it this way:
You can get an o3DS for real cheap now
You can buy a 64GB SDCard for like $30
After that you can go nuts installing all manner of 3DS games and virtual console games.
