Eh, monster voices in English or Japanese are always hit or miss. English they're either a bit hard to understand with the filtering, or they're really obnoxious in Japanese with that "jittering" where it sounds like just one syllable being uttered over and over

Really? Jibanyan could be worse, but ROBONYAN is hilarious. "Oh mah swirls" Komasan is also pretty fun. The only real voices that sound weird are characters like Damona/Blizzaria and Venoct. Their voices are way off for the actual character model.

If you're not trying to catch them all you'll be fine. Go Downtown and befriend a Cupistol and leave it in the back area of your team. Popularity is a hell of a drug and it's really needed if you plan on playing through the game since the recruitment rate is pretty low.
You also get given a free Chansin if you just go to the arcade and talk to the owner, there's a quest where you fight one and he joins. Even if you don't want to do that, you could also try your luck with red coins.

Took me two or three hours, a tip is to wait until you get access to the S rank area and you have three different spawn points for the thing. He's not as bad as Reversette though.14 hours to recruit it, and then when I went to use up my coins for the special ones needed for Gilgaros I got five of them.
