Advance Wars: Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict is pretty awesome. It's got a solid single-player campaign with skirmishes being entertaining pretty much indefinitely.

Seconding the DS version of Chrono Trigger. It's an incredibly solid port and if you've never played the game before it's a perfectly good way to go through it. It still holds up very well.
