I remember hearing about how there was evidence that he may have been intended to be the villain earlier in development. Something about his locker being one of the few not destroyed ones along with his math notebook despite him being an idiot, him being the only one that gets a different line after finishing his social link thing, him always obstructing investigations, and something about his predictions. I don't really remember the details though.

I wasn't a fan of the surviving cast in general. I guess Kyoko was okay but not amazing, Aoi was generic (but tolerable), Toko is the 2nd worst character in fucking existence (Maria being #1), Byakuya was an asshole who fucked things up for no reason, and Hagakure/Hiro/Afroman was useless and annoying. All the characters I actually liked (Ishimaru, Sakura, Chihiro) died horribly. It made the last third or so of the game pretty grating.

Fucking UDG salvaged her the hardest I've ever seen a character salvaged. They went above and beyond to make Toko tolerable and a good foil to Komaru's blandness(and thighs... delicious delicious thighs).
