I can see how making xbox exclusives windows exclusives instead might sound like a great idea to a high level corporate manager, but in reality its such a shitty idea.
Nobody will buy an xbox one anymore, so Sony will come to dominate the home console market. The only games that will be on the windows store will be Microsoft games because any sane dev puts their game on steam. Steam will therefore continue to dominate the pc gaming space. Microsoft will be left with tiny footholds in both gaming spaces and not much else to speak of
