It's an incredibly retarded game when it comes to general direction and difficulty balance.
It's marketed as a big, beautiful, immersive open world game but there basically is not one interesting enemy you can find in the open world, only chimeras and cyclopes and both can't hit you unless you want them to hit you.
Griffin basically never shows up, except for the one locked behind a story quest, same for the chicken or the hydra.
The only monster that is not piss easy in the open world is the drake.
otherwise if you want a challenge you have to go to BBI which is not what the game is marketed as, it is a fucking disgustng Souls-esque boring piece of shit dungeon with everything being a small room or a corridor, always grimdark.
No idea how this was made by the same company that made Monster Hunter.

I wasn't level 50 by the time I reached him. you get a lot of exp in BBI. just upgrade your weapon dude. it's your single biggest source of strength. don't underestimate the ability good pawns can have to help carry your ass, too. I had a great sorc and mage to help me out with all the physical resistant mobs

im baffled by why you all think this is so hard. warrior is pretty gimped compared to the other classes, but it isn't THAT hard. you can kill any normal sized enemy easily with jumping light attacks. anything else? jump attack the weak points... or in certain situations, climb and smack the fucker. the warrior climbing attack is pretty decent
warrior has the highest HP pool in the game and an i-frame move... it's not like they lack in survivability

daimon is pretty easy for melee desu. you just cling to him and smack his head (or the dragon head in phase 2). you only get fucked if you don't interrupt his vortex successfully - because unlike ranged you don't have a safe way to do that. once you're sucked in there's nothing you can do but eat the wipe

The Ur-Dragon. He's in the Chamber of Lament. You can find him by dropping into the Everfall and keeping an eye to the right. You'll eventually see a broken bridge. That's the Chamber of Lament.
Online Ur has MMO levels of health though and every generation gets stronger. When someone finally kills him you'll get rewards based on how much damage you contributed to his defeat. Alternatively you can go offline and fight a much weaker version that you can kill yourself.

The vortex is easy to interrupt as melee though. Get the grapple augments and some stam regen items and he will never ever be able to get you off of him. When he starts casting it, you're just sitting on him and smacking his gobbler until he falls.
