Yep. I remember playing through the Halo 3 campaign on legendary solo for the first time. Shit was really fun. The graphics were beautiful for the time. They looked like actual armor and weren't saturated to hell.

Halo CE was great for PC, but I refuse to say the original Xbox CE wasn't fun as fuck too, especially in 2001 when nobody had seen anything that could even compete. It was a standalone pretty much in terms of quality. Honestly it's still fun in 2016.

Literally the ONLY thing Halo 3 has on 5 anymore is custom games variety due to more game modes.
Halo 5's gameplay is much better, and far more skill based.
Halo 5's forge is far FAR better, and that's just plain objective.
Halo 5's framerate is better, which makes the experience much smoother.
Halo 5 has actual weapon balance. I can't say it's better, simply because it didn't even fucking exist in 3.

Most of the maps from my experience are overly open for no real reason and devoid of cover. It's like they're designed solely around teamshotting and making sure even the most random of teammates can pull it off. The newer DLC maps don't really have this problem, so they're improving at the very least.
