Makes me wonder, should I install some of the 'add a touch of green' modes to the game? I feel like it would make sense to add some live plants, but I also think that a lot of them go overboard and make it look like full on Oblivion levels of GREEN.
In most of the pictures of places like Chernobyl, things alternate between looking dead and alive. Lots of trees are dead, but there is also a lot of green growth like grass and moss. I don't know though.

there's no other nukes in the addons. the orbital strikes you can use to (optionally) destroy the citadel are not nukes.
mini-nukes would not be enough to tinge the atmosphere with green.
face it, the green overlay was an incredibly lazy way to add visual consistency to their "desolate" design choice, and it looked like shit. it has no basis in the lore.

the great thing about playing on PC, is that it's all about personal preference. it's pretty ridiculous to assume that every single PC player thinks that fallout 3 is too green, NV is too brown and fallout 4 is too "nice looking". it's awesome though, because if you DO think fallout 3 is too green, NV is too brown and 4 looks too nice, you can easily change it at your own whim.

Its the power of PC, you have a freedom of choice and games lose their core identity. Because PC users can mod their games so they can have a wasteland look green because its been 200 years since nukes were launched, or they can make a green area look dead because they feel that 200 years of radiation storms and poisoned water would stop plant growth.
