Bravely Default fluctuates in quality but it's a very nice experience, download the amazing demo first if you want to try it.
Monster Hunter is, as usual, niche as fuck but really fun. Don't let /v/ convince you otherwise: Circle Pad Pro is little more than a convenience, the game plays just fine without it.
The MGS 3 port is prettysolid, a few fps issues aside.
Animal Crossing is, well, Animal Crossing, comfy and lighthearted as ever.
There's Pokemon, of course, but the newest version is almost insultingly easy, though it looks really nice.
Dilon's Rolling Western is pretty fun, has some nice gameplay and looks incredible, even the 3D is good.
Oh, and A Link Between Worlds is pretty good too, and that's coming from someone who didn't even finish ALTTP.
Kid Icarus and Mario games, I guess.
Any Atlus game on the 3DS is worth it sans Code of Princess since I haven't played it.

i played the demo of Fire Emblem and was shit, then i dowloaded a pack of 3ds games and fire emblem was here, tried it again and i liked, im going to purchase it
Only get Pokemon X/Y if you're into competitive battling or catching them all. The story is ridiculously easy and might as well be a long tutorial, and the only postgame is a small bit ofpretty decentside-story and the Battle Maison.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Also keep in mind you have the entire DS library plus nice stuff in the eshop.

Are there any hidden gems in the eShop or something? Whatever's not on the /v/ recommendation wikia. I'm pretty much playing emulated DS games exclusively after New Leaf failed to keep my interest as much as the GC title. Kid Icarus and Star Fox should keep me going for a while but I fear not for long. Might check out Denpa Men as well.
Also should I get MonHun or wait till I get a Wii U and get that version?

If you got the balls to solo MH3U on a 3DS go for it, singleplayer gets boring if you've tasted multiplayer - this preps you for MH4U when it comes out next year.
Otherwise if you want multiplayer you might as well get the Wii U.

because the recent trend is to sacrifice gameplay in favor of story, games like the last of us and gone home are being praised while games like shovel knight(best example i can think of) are being pretty much ignored.
