Gohan didn't really job to Super Buu. He was beating Super Buu's ass like it was nothing. He only started to have trouble when Super Buu absorbed Piccolo and Gotenks thanks to the split off head tail. Which up to that point, nobody really knew about, and he even does it to Vegito.
Gohan was initially stronger than Super Buu by quite a bit, but like Vegeta, and well pretty much every Saiyan his dumbassery cost him.
With that said, Naruto should have been about the misadventures of Itachi, Pain, Kakashi, Shikamaru, Rock Lee, and Kakashi.
