The joys of living in the middle of butt fuck nowhere in britbongshire. If I were to walk to my nearest shop, it's two and a half hours away and it's a corner shop. There's a bus that comes through twice a day to go other places. Taxi drivers don't know of it and can't find it most of the time. Delivery is always cold by the time food comes. Roads are shitty and waterlogged, when people come over for the first time I'd say 20% of them end up in a ditch or broken something on their car.
Up to 300kb/s so I've got that going for me now.

Most downloads capped out at about 600 kbps, you'd be lucky to get 1MB on a good torrent. Fibre is about average american cable speeds.

Speeds are generally alright in Chch/Welly/Auckland but anywhere rural is likely gonna be total shit. In the cities where the speed is acceptable, the cost/usage is a joke.

I upgraded several months ago from subhuman ADSL 20MB/1MB to 120MB/10MB fiber and it's fucking great. It's taken me several years to finally get a fucking ISP to get me fiber, I don't understand why, when everyone in the block had it for 3 years now and I live in the fucking capital.
Even still, this offer is not the best, the current plans are around 300MB/300MB, which I'd love to have, but the one I have now is enough for what I do.
