True but you can't keep leaning on Bayonetta forever like it's even relevant any more. Nintendo has had one pretty decent third party relationship this gen and it resulted in a single game being made, that flopped because nobody really wanted it. Then Nintendo goes on to kill the fatal frame franchise, turns monolith into self-parody, alienates their core userbase, censors nearly everything else they touch, pulls the the plug on their home console not 3 years into the consoles life, etc etc. Nintendo dose more damage than good.

3DS is a pretty good handheld but it's now sharing a market with a plethora of devices that make it completely obsolete. And the Vita, which while it did fall into a shitty weeb niche, is still very powerful and impressive hardware. Despite that, it gave a fierce fight and had loaded itself with good games.
It worked for a while, but Nintendo's burning goodwill left and right and is slowly isolating themselves. Western devs already threw in the towel, it's a matter of time before Squeenix and CAPCOM decide to jump shit, they worked better with SONY anyways.
And seeing as the device is now completely hacked, it's pretty much over for 3DS.
Ah well, it had a good run.
Nintendo's NX is going to be the final nail in the coffin. Either they fix their shit and 1up the Bone and PS4 and figure out a deal with PC players, or they are fucking done and will go the way of the SEGA.
