Getting my shit wrecked with foglets, downers, etc. I am barely at level 6 but I am just not "getting it"...
Against humans it seems fairly straight forward and I am able to deflect/parry most attacks and counter attack nicely, but there still seems like there is some sort of latency to the counter/parry system. On screen with more than 3 enemys i'm just rolling around and quick attacks.
In comparison to other major releases in the past 5-10 years, I appreciate that TW3 doesnt treat the player like a dipshit console babby with cliche' story lines/fetchquests etc. The lore is pretty deep and the game itself is very meticulous in nature, there are some minor flaws imo, none that make the game unplayable.
all this hype and overpraising just kind of sets you up for kind of a letdown, i'd give it a solid 8/10

The problem was that the same music was used for all fights. It sounds awesome for fighting a large monster, but hearing it after fighting a pack of wolves 50 times gets tedious.
First time I played The Witcher 2, I was so paranoid about the dangers of the forests surrounding Flotsam (even though there were elven watchposts and watchways) that I felt I needed to help defend it, especially since nekkers and endregas spawn so close to the town borders.
I initially disarmed and stole a bunch of traps that were laying about en masse, but I eventually re-armed and replanted them all over each path leading to town from the forest side... fearing an imminent attack from monsters.
It was comfy and spooky as fuck, straddling the border of the town at night keeping watch with whatever few nightwatch guards there were.
Just one of the things that make me love this game.

Yencucks are the worst and you should have had the option to behead Yen in the third game. Game would have been far better if we never got to be with her and I spent all the time in Skellige and at Kaer Morhen with Triss. Not true Geralt's mom was a sorceress and one of Vilgefortz's parents was a mage it's just that most are and Triss is one who is sterile. Geralt is sterile which is why destiny quite literally had to gift him and Yen Ciri since they where both sterile. Either way that is just a terrible pic and ruins Geralt's relationship with Ciri.
