Witcher.
Dragon's Dogma lends itself to a greater variety of playstyles. If you want to play a ranged character, for example, Witcher offers very little for you.
It's not even close, Witcher 3 is in another league. DD is fun but it's like just barely fun enough to justify how shitty everything else is. They are totally different experiences though, if you are looking for a story/immersion go with witcher if you are looking for fun gameplay go with DD.
Witcher 3 is better in every possible way. And yes, even the combat is better.

Magic is dope but iget boring fast as hell because you have to stand there for 30 sec animation to finish and absolutely no depth to it. It was good combat in comparison to skyrim, but witcher's combat system is on a different level considering you actually use it to it's potential. They're both quite good, The Witcher 3 is my 2015 GOTY but Dragon's Dogma is my all time favorite game. So Dragon's Dogma but I do highly recommend you play The Witcher 3 some time in the future.

It's about how it modernizes the medieval fantasy genre, but how it's a good example about what it can reach. It also 'respects' the player since it isn't as dumbed down as skyrim.

The player in the webm DOES have 3 adrenaline points, so the superior blizzard procs and freezes the stamina.
Whirl works in that way that it first depletes your stamina, and once that's empty it would deplete adrenaline. Now because stamina never gets depleted the Whirl never has to access the adrenaline points, thus you can spin as long as you have blizzards.

Kingdom's of Amalur is a fucking piece of shit game though. I struggled to get through it big time. The combat is shit. The story is meh, and the itemization and loot is some of the worst i've ever experienced.

I could probably write an essay on why combat in TW3 was pretty bad and didn't have many fun moments. It's not like DD couldn't be vastly improved but it's too fucking cool at times.

While i agree that DD has way better combat, and some things that makes it fun in other ways, Witcher 3 has a lot better exploration, lore and a lot more things to do than just slaughter enemies and look for the best gear there is. Witcher 3 also lacks epic bossfights. Most bosses are pushovers, whereas DD has some insane fights, especially on hardmode.

DD IS all style no substance. I play it on hard mode and see all its bullshit. I dont complain about the enemies. The combo you get is totally crap and at odd with the rpg mechanic. You have a kick to stagger opponent better. But better do a light attack first :^), what's that your heavy attack can stagger them now? too bad you bought this for 2000 skill points :^). AI range from a punching bag to lmao let me kill that while you sit back. I also cant into enemy grouping or cc at all, just watch me throw flashbang everywhere. What's that, you press f1 and point to a rock? do you mean i should attack the enemies at the opposite direction? Also we have 10 different receipts for one thing while ingredients respawn on a daily basis. We can into rpg XD too. See that bandit over there that look exactly like that bandit you just kill, he is actually 20 levels above him, hardcore acshun arrpeegee amirite XD. Also the npcs you must escort stop moving if you scout ahead and act on their own, good luck.
Witcher has always been more storyfaggotry and dont advertise as anything more than that. And it exceed that in every aspect.
Also it has real mod support. Not skyrim tier but sure as hell not just texture swapping, one million enbs, sweetfx preset or music swap tier.
