dark souls 1 has my favorite world, armor, and weapon design. and i liked the pace of combat the best in it.
But dark souls 2 brought about some great changes even if some of them were a miss. like soul memory, leveling bound to the emerald herald. the ability to warp instantly and the need of bonfire ascetic rather than just letting you choose to do it whenever are all things i did not like but dark souls 2 introduced some good gameplay changes.
I just hope that dark souls 3 ends up as the best of both of them combined into one.

For me, Bloodborne narrowly beats out DaS1 because 90% of everything in DaS after O&S is terrible. Bloodborne has some changes that I really like (I dig rally, for example) and some that I don't (armors just really don't matter anymore at all), but it never sinks as low as DaS's second half

Are you fucking retarded? I played it on PC, I played DaS1 on PC, and just because it's not really an issue doesn't mean it's OK for the game to behave like that and DaS1 fucks up even harder when unlocking the FPS because Japs are just shit at programming.
If I'd have played the titles in the correct order DaS1 would probably be my favourite. Sadly I played DaS2 first followed by Bloodborne. Problem is DaS1 is piss easy if you've already beaten DaS2 and Bloodborne.
The level design is clearly superior but if you beat nearly every boss on your first try and just easily get through new areas without dying now and then it just lacks that sense of accomplishment.
DaS1 lacks something like the Pursuer. As Souls virgin that guy killed me like a dozen times and I became euphoric after beating him.
The only battle that made me even care in DaS1 was the wolf with the sword in his mouth.

When you reach the DLC content it will become good again. Concerning the main game: you played the good half. It will feel like a Devil May Cry on easy without the aircombat from now on for you until you reach Gwyn. Quality of level design goes down really hard too now. Look forward to the DLC though.

I'd have to go with DaS2, I like how combat and movement feels, how there is no bed of chaos, how the areas look distinct and almost arcade-level-like, having to aim ultra-heavy weapons when rolling makes sense, I like most bosses, how there is more enemies to fight and so on.
I enjoyed DS2s combat but the level design and lack of EVER being invaded ruined it for me, even with Sotfs around (which improved the game quite a bit for me)
DS1 will probably hold the top for me unless soul memory is gone in DS3 and the level and world design is as cool as the first half of DS1's
Bloodborne. Chomping at the bit to play DeS tho, hopefully they port that shit to PS4 or something. DaS and BB are my favorite videogames. DaS2 is a good game, but not in the same league.
