Pirate is hella fun. He gets engineers little scout robot, though it's a parrot now, and is ace at long range or short range, since his weapon is both a sniper rifle and a shotgun. His little explosive barrel attack is also good at close range.
Cannon Rodeo needs some tweaking though, hard to aim.

Original is loads better IMO. I'm still having fun, but it fucking destroys the careful balance the plants and zombies had, it's pure fucking chaos on the battlefield.
Something that really, REALLY needs to change is the spawns though. You can instantly respawn and the defenders spawn is super close to the capture point, so it's really fucking hard to actually beat Gardens & Graveyards/Herbal Assault as the attacker. Hopefully this is just in the beta and they add a respawn timer in the full game.

I played Dolphin Researcher a lot. He shreds things up close with his shotty and his shortrange teleport is great for closing the gap. The heals help too.

Why is it so overdesigned? why cant we just keep fighting in backyards and suburbias with different themes like rain, snow, industrial, taken over by zomboss etc? Why are the spawns so close?
