ok so i have three questions:
1. my controller's left analog stick is fucked. are kb/m controls good, or should i just get a new controller?
2. are there new arrows you can get? can you run out of arrows? i just made my strider and just killed some big troll faggot and made my pawn and i still don't know if i'm going to run out of arrows.
3. i keep picking up random shit around the world. brooms, buckets, rocks, grapes, whatever. do these hold a purpose? should i keep picking up all the random shit i see? can you use those foreign knives i keep finding instead of my daggers?

Also when you get grabbed mash all the buttons, the game never tells you this but it gets you out of grabs almost three times as fast. This is almost mandatory for BBI as well.

Basically how this works is tapping the Guide Button will use hotkey "1", holding Right Bumper and the Guide Button will use hotkey "2", holding Left Bumper and the Guide Button will use hotkey "3", and holding the Guide Button for one sec then releasing will bring up your map.
I suggest setting the hotkeys with the keyboard though, since the RB and LB will still tab through your inventory.
Presumably this should also work with other controllers, in which case the button_on_guide2.exe will be unnecessary and you may want to edit the script to use the appropriate keys.

I think navigating should be fairly easy with it, downside is that you can't see those keybindings.
As for the Combat stuff. For Both:
Y is Seathe/Draw Weapon
X is Activate
Space is Jump
Left/Right Click are Light/Heavy Attack
1-5 are Hotkeys
For Melees:
Q,E,F are your 3 Primary Skills
Xbutton1(Mouse4) activates your bow and changes some keys for my bow mode:
Left Click is now Shoot
Rightlick is nothing and disabled for a few ms after leaving bow mode cause this pc version's Bow Mode is shitty(toggle with R incase it comes active)
Q,E,F are now your 3 Secondary Skills
It's all in all 1 modifier less
For Caster:
Q,E,F,Shift+Q,E,F are your 6 Spells. i,e pressing Shift+Q let's you start casting your first Secondary Skill and it keeps you in "Secondary Weapons"-Stance. While it casts you can press M4/LeftM/RightM once to have it go off when it's ready. You can also hold M4 which will give you the magic crosshair instead and you can aim your spell till you let got of M4 and fire the spell. You can also start pressing M4/LM/RM after you're done casting and wait forever and move around freely with a charged spell without having to hold any button, though keep in mind Jumping cancels every cast. Further you can use Shift to enter this Aim mode without having the spell go off.

Arrows are infinite. They ones you buy you have to equip, like poison arrows etc. Spam arrows all day, thats how you use bows in this game.
Lots of shit is used for upgrading every single piece of gear in the game. Feel free to hoard it, but you can sell it for a while till you are at a point you are needing something specific. Also tons of items can be combined, try everything.

Once you beat Grigori and before you complete the Everfall, talk to Jonathan in the Encampment (near the Riftstone). He sells a bunch of items for RC, 2 of which let you re-customize your character/pawn's appearance from the main menu. The biggest examples is how they pick up inclinations. If you loot stuff during combat, so will your pawn, eventually. If you target the strongest enemies, so will your pawn. If you play the same class and have the same skills, your pawn will use them like you use them.

All the NPCs seem to be effectively immortal in this game, and there is literally no benefit for attacking people.
If you attack somebody in for example, elder scrolls, you have the potential to gain from it, be it experience, money, or other loot.
In this game, there is nothing to be gained. They literally just put it in to piss people off if they did it by accident. Terrible fucking game design right there.

I'm downloading the game now, wondering if tank characters are a good way to go. I don't know a thing about the game, do you sort of build a party around traditional roles, like having healer, ranged dps, melee dps, tanks, etc? Where I would sort of fill one of these roles based on the class i take then fill my party with party members to form a balanced party?

Kind of but not really. Fighters are mostly defensive but to call them tanks is a bit of an overstatement. You can build your party how you want. At the start you can only choose from 1 of 3 classes (Fighter, Strider, Mage) but once you hit Gran Soren you can pick from the other 6 for yourself. Pawns can't be hybrid classes (Mystic Knight, Magick Archer, Assassin).

Anyone figure out how to get this game to run fullscreen on a second monitor?
My other monitor is usually the one I use for gaymen and I would like to fullscreen it on that one, but I can only get it there on windowed mode. If I go back to fullscreen on that monitor it fullscreens back to the first one.

Played the game for about three hours, current setup (on hard mode) is sorcerer (me) support mage (pawn) and then a random amount of red/yellow classes based mainly on whoever happens to be there whenever I first enter the rift.
Since i'm kind of wrecking everything with my spells would it make more sense to get two really tanky fighters so I can more easily avoid getting oneshot?

The problem isn't that it exists at all, the problem is that there is no indication that a law system exists in the game, and if you break it, you are instantly carted away to jail, and your only option that does not expend resources is to have known that the law system exists, and to have built a skeleton key. The encampment Hydra is a fixed event unfortunately, but you'll fight a couple more yet. Make sure to check the Cassardis quest board every now and then, as it updates independently of Gran Soren with its own quests.

If you level up significantly before you make your pawn you'll be slightly different levels. If any pawns are down when you kill an enemy, they don't get the XP/discipline points for that either.
