Top 3 Ace Attorney cases:
1° Rise from the Ashes
2° Farewell, My Turnabout
3° The Grand Turnabout
Finale 2 > Finale 1 > Finale 3

Phoenix taking down Gant with the evidence law is one of the best moments in the series.
I wish games had tough finales like this. Most of them now is "present obvious as fuck evidence you never ever used until this moment" like the yellow envelope in AJ or the moon earring in DD.
>>324089969
Worst 3 cases:
1 Turnabout Big Top
2 Turnabout Big Top
3 Turnabout Big Top
>>324089969
No objections here.
Would probably put Farewell, My Turnabout at number 1 though.
Bridge to the Turnabout is good too.
>>324091691
>not Turnabout Serenade
>>324092506
Honestly, I disliked Turnabout Corner more. At least Machi and Lamroir are interesting enough, and not obnoxious, and Crescend is a better antagonist than Tiala, honestly.
>>324093041
every case in AJ except the first one was pretty bad, tbqh
>>324093273
Not really. They were all solid for me. 4-3 was average and 4-4 only problem was having a bit of a quick ending.
Enjoyed the game more than DD at least.
>>324093273
Hm. One gripe I have with the final case is that Phoenix's last trial should have been the fourth case like Mia's first one, it would have been an interesting parallel, and a decent set-up to Succession in general.
>>324091691
No Turnabout Samurai?
>Prove on the first day of the trial that your client is LITERALLY the only person on the scene who could NOT have committed the murder
>Still need to go on
>>324089969
My three favorites are 2-4, 3-5 and 5-DLC
Still haven't gotten to the Investigations games
>>324093536
>and 5-DLC
My negro. That case alone redeemed DD for me.
Not gonna lie, Gant's breakdown legitimately caught me off-guard for a second.
>tension so high, I could feel it emantating from the speakers of my 3DS
>suddenly breaks into the most maniacal fit of laughter
>refuse to believe that this trial can go on any longer than it already has
>"yeah, I did it"
>>324093449
Separating the flashback case would have made it worse
One of the big problems (at least as far as I remember) with Turnabout Succession was its length and ending. Cutting it in half makes for an even shorter finale case while keeping its shitty, anti-climactic ending
>>324091691
...What about Lost Turnabout? Also, I didn't like some of the characters in Recipe For Turnabout too much, and two of them were literally key witnesses, like the old man, whom a whole trial day is spent on.
>>324093828
Lost Turnabout was retarded because that was the point.
It would have been a walk in the park for Phoenix because of the fucking obvious contradictions, so he had to be nerfed with the amnesia
Man I love these games so much... The best case will now and forever always be the one with Matt Engarde
>>324093828
Lost Turnabout is excusable because they were trying to figure out how to do a tutorial with an experienced attorney.
It doesn't last very long and it serves its purpose.
1. Turnabout x
2. Turnabout y
3. Turnabout z
>>324089969
>implying any of those cases are better than The Red Turnabout
>>324093803
...What do you mean by "anti-climatic" specifically? Was it the fact that Kristoph was caught by the whole Jurist thing, or something else?
>>324093762
Yeah, that's definitely a good one. For some reason, I thought for a second you were saying that Gant's fit of laughter had an actual "voice" to it or something like that coming from your 3DS. It definitely would have been odd to add voices to the original trilogy, in any case.
>>324095138
He means the final trial segment being just one testimony long and short overall.
>let me explain everything that happened
>that's bullshit. I'll go back to my cell. No evidence
>actually, jurist system
>WRIIIIIIIIIGHTTTTTTTTT
>>324095138
The last day in court was one cross-examination, one perceive, and then "do you want to win the game, yes or no"
>>324093935
>>324094136
On that note, how do they justify the tutorial in DD? I haven't seen any of it except for the opening cutscene and Edgeworth's cutscene, do they have Athena be a new attorney and have trials explained to her?
>>324095568
Athena starts the case, gets triggered by the prosecution and can't do shit, then Wright takes over, where the tutorial is justified because it's been 8 years
>>324095568
5-1 tutorial was bullshit.
Athena fully went through 5-3 and Phoenix went through the DLC.
I mean, Mia was justified because her first time in courtroom her client killed himself and she got traumatized for a year.
Why do people not like Turnabout Samurai?
>>324095701
This is why I hate the first case taking place in the future and then the rest of the game minus the ending is all flashbacks.
Yamazaki did that shit in AAI too and it's the fucking worst AA game in my opinion.
Fuck sake, I-4 is a flashback within a fucking flashback.
>>324091691
I finished Justice for All for the first time about a month ago, and I swear to God I could write a fucking dissertation on how bad that case was. It brings down the entire game around it.
>>324096189
I loved it the defendant gave me crazy boners I just wanted to get him off and then get him off
>>324096395
>Fuck sake, I-4 is a flashback within a fucking flashback.
Someday we'll have a flashback to a case which will also be a flashback to another case..which will then lead to yet another flashback.
>>324096976
AA has insanely hot men alright
>>324097837
Gumshoe is top tier husbando, my boyfriend looks like him and I must say that really worked in his favour when we first met. Sadly he's not a gamer but I've been trying to convince him to go to a Con with me in Cosplay...a man can dream
mods are asleep, most r34
Top 3 Fun Cases
3.Monstrous Turnabout
2.Recipe for Turnabout
1.The Stolen Turnabout
Top 3 Rookie Cases
3.Mia's first time meeting Dahlia
2.Apollo's entire fuckfest of a first case
1. Athena's friendshit fuckfest of a first case
>>324098448
OBJECTIO! I can prove I'm having a conversation with another anon who has fine taste in fictional men who work in the japanese legal system herr forehead
>>324089969
i started the series andthe fact that I heard maya and phoenix never hook up is seriously destroying any desire for me to continue
>>324098448
k.
>>324096395
... But Edgeworth doesn't act like a rookie at all. Sure, he explains things because tutorial case, but still. Is it because of the plot making less sense, or what?
>>324099148
It makes me sad that we won't ever see him in AA. I loved PW vs PL but he deserves more time in the spotlight
>>324099345
A lot of AA characters deserve more spotlight in my opinion.
But yeah, Barnham got fucked super duper hard at the end. He was easily my top 10 in the series.
>>324099340
The Investigations games do this weird thing where they aren't as blatantly obvious about a tutorial like in the mainline games, but if you needed a reminder about something, they'd either have Edgeworth quickly go over it in his head, or have Gumshoe explain it only for Edgeworth to tell him he already knew that.
1-5 > 2-4 >I-5
>>324093634
I'm not sure I'll ever be able to replay AA5
even just seeingFullbrightin this picture made me sad
>>324089969
Bridge to a Turnabout
Rise from the Ashes
Farewell, My Turnabout
>>324098337
Hey man what the fuck, Turnabout Trump is amazing. Put that shit in #1.
The Forgotten Turnabout was my favorite.
Blaise should have been THE final boss.
>>324103638
His breakdown was slightly anti-climatic though, in my opinion, and the fan translation's meme there didn't help.
>>324104493
>skipped his breakdown because I was using the FF function
kill me
Which case are youmost excited to get animated?
Which characterdeathare you hyped for?
>>324089969
Gonna go the obvious route with this one but pretty much the final cases of each game
1-5 for trying new things while also just being a really great case with great characters
2-4's twist/reveal, followed by forcing the guy to admit his guilt out of fear for his life is just an incredible idea executed really well. Also having to pin the crime on someone you know it's innocent in order to stall and save Maya.
3-5 for being an amazing wrap up and tying together the previous cases into an incredibly satisfying finale for the trilogy. Plus playing as Edgeworth was pretty fun.
Honourable mentions go to 2-2, pretty much all of 3, 4-1, 4-2 for being pretty fun.
>>324100769we need a Fullbright spinoff set before the asshole Phantom killed him
Make it fucking happen Capcom
Literally best character
>>324106639
2-4Mia, in a way
>>324106639
3-4, it's shit as a case but the visuals would be rad as fuck
>>324092506
>>324093041
Turnabout Serenade would've been decent if they didn't recap the guy's dying message and the video of the song every 5 seconds.
>>324093449
The final case was just a really poor idea. They took a risk but it would have been a lot more satisfying if they made it an actual case. I also needed way more Kristoph.
>>324106984
I forgot to add 5-DLC. I hope we get Norma DePlume back in AA6. I also liked 5-5.
So Dual Destinies is trash? Are the rest of em good? About to finish Ace Attorney 1 on the 3ds collection
>>324107905
no, Dual Destinies is fucking fantastic and we had terrific threads about it until reactionary faggots started merely pretending it was trash
>>324107905
I'm on the last case of 3 and they've all honestly been fantastic so far.
>>324107905
For me it was underwhelming. Played it too safe and doesn't feel like they have any fucking idea what to do with the mainline anymore
>>324094480
That's agreatopinion, at least the first oneTrucy from both RED Turnabouts reporting
>>324098337
>The Stolen Turnabout
Build-up to the breakdown for that was fucking awesome.
