It may have Hero Mode. You get double damage (so, half heart of damage). I think TP was easy as fuck because of the Wii port. Nintendo dumbed down all his franchises to appeal to new players.

Can't argue with OoT being easy. But back in the day, it was pretty hard. It was the first game doing that kind of shit for a lot of people. Having to target an enemy, dodge and manage magic was something novel in a 3D enviroment.
But by that same logic, TP can be hard for a newcomer i guess. Also give Majora's Mask another chance. Its the oddball, but so was Link's Awakening and that game is awesome.

Nope to all. Same game, but you can make less mistakes. That's why I always do 3-heart runs on Hero Mode for these games when I replay them. For some enemies, you die in one hit, and at the very minimum to the weakest enemies, only 6 hits, with no hearts ever appearing.

This is what I remember from the top of my head:
They took out dialogue with Midna detailing the Sols that you need to collect and why they're the bane to Zant's power.
They took dialogue about some benevolent King that Midna mentions, and warped it around so that it sounds like the game is foreshadowing some ancient Zelda villain. (Just like they did with Fierce Deity by giving it evil connotations; when it has none.)
They messed up Lanayru's warning time-wise. It doesn't really make sense.
Made up a name for the Oocca. They're name is supposed to be Sky People, like the Sky Tribe. And they're not the creators of the Hylians, but of Hyrule. The English version leads you to believe there's some genetic ancestry between Hylians and "Oocca."
Instead of the Sages being Zelda's tutors, they made it so that Rauru is. There's some deep underlying reason why this is important, but I can't remember it right now. It's meta Zelda lore.

I don't think they translate it. I think they've got people who aren't fluent in JP to look at the games and give a literal word by word translation. Then they come in and fill in what they don't understand themselves or in some cases don't even edit it.
For instance Ganondorf's last words in TWW>
"Let's see how much your precious Triforce is worth." Is in Japan, "Let's see whether you are worthy of the Triforce."
But in JP, it sounds closer to the first one literally translated.
