Because the Aim key is shared with the Heavy attack for daggers. So you have to already be in Bow mode in order for Aim to work.

Nah. Dragons Age Origins is in the subgenre of pseudo-turn based "real time" RPGs.
Dragons Dogma is more of an ARPG, in that combat is true real-time, including eating shit to a move you could have easily dodged if you weren't stuck in the reset animation from a prior move.
You've got shadow of the colossus style giant-enemy climbing, along with melee and ranged combat that's based on light attacks, heavy attacks, and a suite of 6 abilities that you slot in to create your characters movelist.

Whatever you do, don't make your pawn's inclination Guardian. It makes them virtually useless. I'd start with any class that isn't mage since that's a support class more geared towards pawns. The character creator does factor into your carry weight, stamina and run speed, so if you play as a loli you're kinda gimping yourself in all 3 of those categories in exchange for the ability to get into small areas like goblin dens and shit.
Also don't be afraid to switch vocations to try stuff out and see what you like.

I thought the game had THE Berserk armor. But it's golden age Guts' armor. Also no Dragonslayer
Gimme advice for hard mode strider. Everything oneshots me and nerfed stamina means I'm having a hard time balancing my specials and sprinting and it feels like I just don't have enough stamina to do all the things I need to. Also I hit like a wet noodle.

Game's pretty great, just got to Gran Soren.
However I found a bunch of overpowered looking gear in my stash. Is that some DLC gear that makes everything super easy like DLC items tend to do?
