Hey /v/

Do YOU use a "competetive" controller?

I mean, who wouldn't want to own this?
>>
>>324035809
Looks like it could be useful for cripples. But isn't it like $200? Fucking ridiculous.

What are you talking about anon? This is made for REAL MLG pros!
>>
>>324035809
>>324036007
It literally is for cripples. And that's fine, I'm glad someone made something like that. If I got crippled in the near future (human-equivalent prosthetic replacement is still a ways off from the look of things) I'd appreciate being able to continue to play vidya even if at a much lower level, and for a medical assistance device even $200 is pocket change.

But the fags trying to hop on it as some special edge controller are fucking retards.
>>
>>324036301
they let you play qith one hand
>>
>>324036402
Why is that competitive? I don't see why I should need that

>>

>>324036402
Honestly I've looked at it for three minutes and don't understand how this is supposed to work. Do you wrap your hand behind the controller or what?

If you want to be this much of a tryhard you should just play on PC.
>>
>>324036684
You place your fingers at the triggers and thumbs on the analog sticks. You keep them there and use your joints to move those extension "sticks" to press all the face buttons.
>>
>>324036684
Say you're right handed. You hold the controller sideways inside your right hand, so your fingers are over the shoulder buttons. Then you can flick your fingers upwards to hit the plastic levers, which activated the XYAB buttons
>>
>>324036368
It probably does give you an advantage. Looks like you can access face buttons via extra triggers.

Being able to aim, jump, reload while never removing your thumb from the stick is an advantage. It's almost like playing on mouse and keyboard.

There's a reason bumper jumper was popular with halo 3 players
>>
>>324036301

They let you control the buttons with your fingers or palm.

When you reload a weapon, you need to stop aiming and press X or Y but with this add-on, you use your fingers to reload without stop aiming.

I don't know if i make myself clear.

I have the Xbox One elite controller
I also own a Logitech G502
>>
I just purchased an Xbox One Elite controller just last night. Hard to find in brick and mortar around where I live because apparently they sold out like instantly and haven't been restocked....

I needed a new controller, and money aint a thing so when I saw one single lonely one sitting in teh store I picked it up for shits and giggles.

After using it last night I gotta say, it is pretty damn nice. Nice enough for your average poor gamer to spend $150 on? Probably not... But if you have cash and want something neat sure thing. The paddles on teh back can be set to like anything, they work really well, and overall it is actually damn comfy.

I think the closest to competitive I've come were these weird stick extenders. My little brothers friend was super into call of duty and ended up leaving them at our house a couple times.
They're much more comfortable than they look, but I don't have the eyesight for competitive shooters so I don't know if they actually help at all.
>>
>>324036402

>>
>>324036971
>>324037084
Not that guy, but so what? It's a pretty awesome controller (even though I prefer the regular XB1's controller for the d-pad)

That said, I would never pay that much money for a damn controller. Don't they go for like $150?
>>
>>324037281
The fuck?
How do your thumbs get up there?
>>
>>324037452

>>

Max sensitivity is where kontrolfreeks shine

And yes it's pretty damn comfy
>>
>>324037598

>>
>>324037241

I know. I was actually very surprised at how well it is seemingly made. Them analog sticks feel so fucking good too. So fucking smooth and responsive. I played a few games with it last night for around 2 hours or so and was finally starting to get used to using the paddles. There is certainly an adjustment period, but overall I like it.

>>324037563
It is pricey, that is why I said it probably isn't for everyone. I personally don't feel ripped off by the price, but I am not strapped for cash like others might be.

It's normally at $60-80.

Those things still are keyboard inputs
The stick is digital, basically 4 keys.

I have a tartarus and even though it's very good the stick is pretty useless.
>>
>>324037932
But shift is for sprint anon. or toggle prone in games that don't have a shitty sprint function
Capslock is to toggle walk
>>
>>324037281
>I don't know if they actually help at all
From looking at it, it must increase the space for you to make inputs, the same way aiming from the shoulder with low sensitivity on a large surface is the way to go for precision with mice.
>>
>>324038159
I'd hazard a guess and say it's a g13 gaming gameboard images png

And you use the thumbstick for extra key binds. Like in BF I used them to switch to my gear or toggle weapon lights and shit.

wiiu doesn't need it, the wiiu has made the ONE AND ONLY good console shooter when it made splatoon.
Playing shooters with joysticks? What the fuck were the cavemen of the past thinking? Did people even play those things competitively? Pathetic.

Motion controls are the future old man, finally consoles shooters can enjoy some CONTROL, REACTION SPEED, AIM, SKILL.
Let be known now and forever that the wiiu has triumphed over and destroyed console shooters as a genre, for good.
>>
>console
>competetive

Top kek. The only genre on consoles that are competitive aren't even competitive910
with controllers.
>>
>>324037452
Stupid animeposter, shift should always be bound to walk!
>>
>>324038998
It has support but only a few games even use it. I think only FF14 and Planetside 2 use them so far.
>>
>>324040057
I'm a minimalistic fuccboi (I also like the uniformity), so I use Min as seen here >>324039295

Lucid Rounds and Glasskart are also colorless, but a bit more detailed.

Minimalistic UI and Tersus keep the original app colors, while giving them a uniform (square) shape.
