You can't start a dungeon run with less than 4 people, so if you only have 4 people and one of them is an abomination and another one is a vestal/crusader, you can't start a quest and thus can't progress.

I've read all of Lovecraft, but nothing of Poe as far as I can remember at least. I am a longtime Lovecraft fan.
I got into Lovecraft through the Conan comics, believe it or not. I was a huge fan of them as a kid.

Lovecraft and Borges are my two favorite short story authors of all time. I typically dislike works based on Lovecraft though since it's basically always either cthulu fanfiction or someone who thinks tentacles = Lovecraftian style eldritch horror. Anyone overwhelmed by negative quirks? I have like 15 or so heroes, all of them are lvl 3 or 4, one party is lvl 2 for the last apprentice boss. I've got tons of negative quirks of anyone, they're expensive to remove and a lot of them are reinforced.

You really need to get the sanitarium up and good to handle quirks. Also, negative quirks will build up, just be picky and choosey on the ones you believe will end up causing your team to falter.
