I played for about thirty minutes, and was really disappointed. Each Morty has more or less the same batch of moves (Slam, Outburst, Cry, Focus, etc.), and so there's no real challenge or strategy to the game. You just grind up your Morty's so you can roll through the bosses.
Only reason I'm not pissed off about it is 'cause it's free.

The game is completely faithful to the show. It makes references to nearly everything. At the same time its free and completely approachable to anyone who downloads it. Also pokemon games always emulate perfectly on mobile. It was a good idea to copy its gameplay.

I've always preferred "Reddit and Tumblrty."
The game's really repetitive, not to mention that AP runs out pretty quickly and there are too many trainers on the map after collecting four badges. I guess the strategy is to use up the buffs/debuffs enough to conserve attack move usage, but then healing requires quite a bit of effort.
I wish that there'd always be a crafting table per level. I really don't need three Blitz n' Chitz stations.

Anyway, its just a super simplified form of Pokemon with no reason to have buff/debuff skills, it barely changes the stats. At least it's free and is a decent little time-killer.
