Why buy a vidya game console when a PC can do so much more?

I just picked up a really cheap laptop for work, originally only planned on using it for word processing and java programming, but it's pretty capable for games. I can max out most things up til 2013, and even then I can run 1080p mid settings at least.

I graduated my CS course last year. I don't program full-time but I still keep on top of it and learn in my own time.

That aside, my favourite of 2016 was Pillars of Eternity. I don't understand all the complaints it received, I was hooked start to finish.

I can respect that. PC/PS4/Vita is the best combination IMO. That's including a desktop and a capable laptop. Poorfags won't understand the benefits of having a big screen/portable of the two best platforms. PS4 for exclusives, Vita for weeb games, PC for everything else.

Indisputably inferior, yes, but also popular. Consoles are inferior hardware as well, but they're still relevant. We're already starting to hit a wall in how good we can make graphics, just compare the jump from 5th gen to 6th gen to the jump from 6th to 7th. I won't be surprised if eventually mobile shit gets good enough hardware that people will just plug them into their TV and attach a controller.
