I wouldn't really compare it to those just because you have free movement instead of moving by squares like you do in Devil Survivor. Basically you have an area of movement you can move during your turn to move towards an enemy. If you can't reach the enemy you move as close as you can and try again next turn.

Depends on how you play it. ~50 hours if you rush through the story, +100 hours if you take the time to talk to NPCs and complete sidequests.
>How is the battle system?
Nothing too special, it serves its purpose. Personally I found it quite enjoyable on normal difficulty since grinding is minimal at best and you don't have to use cheese tactics.
Am I the only shipperfag that hugely shipped these two? I was disappointed when it was only teasing and nothing more came out of it. Oliver is the best thing about the trails series

One thing that did kinda bug me while playing First Chapter. How the hell did Estelle not know about most of the badass feats that her father did? Setting out, I think the most Estelle knew was that her father was great bracer and was in the army during the war. I THINK she knew that her father was an officer? But she had know clue about how he was a big part of why the war ended when it did, or just how accomplished of a bracer he was, or any of that other stuff.
I get that her dad tried to keep the work life issues out of the home and that she was really young during the war, but Estelle is 16 now and you'd think she'd get an inkling about her father's feats from the Rolent citizens at least.

I'm not sure how they fucked up the Evo opening so badly. The OVA opening was actually pretty good, if you can ignore the wonky character designs.
I hate our mc have to rely on Victor or Cassius in the old games to save their asses against someone powerful. Its sure was nice in Crossbell when they got their ass kicked and they have to stand on their own, in fact the most powerful swordman there turned against them.
