I loved MAG just for the overall 'war' feel of it. Even that first basic-ass zone control map in the jungle.
What did it for me was the realistic gunfire sounds, really creates a feel of immersion when you're creeping towards the central zone through the bushes and you keep hearing the occasional popcorn sound of machine gun fire in the distance.

One of my best game experiences ever, was in MAG. I played in a clan, and my specialty was going with stealthy gear, and slipping behind enemy lines to take out emplacements and stuff. I put a bomb on the enemy mortar, and just as I finish placing it, an enemy spots me and kills me.
However, instead of defusing the bomb, the fucker starts T-bagging me. So, I, in response start to cuss him out through the proximity mic, and insult him. This makes him even angrier, and he cusses back, completely ignoring the bomb. It then goes off, killing him, and destroying the mortar.

it was fun while it lasted I gotta admit it haven't come across the same experience on a PC game.

SVER and Valor, though I leaned Valor myself. Always felt kind of guilty in SVER, since honestly, their guns were generally a lot stronger than the others. It wasn't a huge imbalance, but I felt kinda cheesy.

You cannot believe how fucking surprisingly well it ran in comparison to games like counter strike or battlefield at the time, it was almost scary how they managed to do it (given the amount of players on the field at all times)
played it frequently for 2-3 years
anyone that was worth a shit picked sver, was rare to not steam roll everything
dlc modes were a mistake, no one bought them and because the minimum player counts are high no one stayed in the queue long enough to have sufficient players so they were almost always dead

beta was god tier, on release it was ok but they kinda made hawks OP as fuck, then they nerfed the fuck out of them and added a mini mech suit (which is addon content to deploy but others can still use them if they are on the field) which is now dominating the game. And they never nerfed them or patched the game again. It was great while it lasted, I got into a full 32 person dogfight lobby and it was pretty insane.
