There are battles that literally force you to grind in the side quests. To do that one you'll need a super skill you can spam to fuck up multiple opponents.

That's pretty much what DB Online did, and Xenoverse's ending ties into it perfectly. So XV2 will recycle DBO's plot, then XV3 will hopefully ignore what Heroes did entirely and just continue with the stuff written for DBO that just never made it into the game instead.

The biggest flaw in this game is that you can't do that thing that Terraria and Xenoblade Chronicals X do with the social armor and the functionality armor.
Please note that I said "biggest" and not "only".
Currently building a minmaxed "Cant get serious here" character.
I guess its just a variation on the SS ki spam, but playing pure melee all match then catching the opponent off guard with a sudden 350% dmg increased Giant Storm is hilarious.

They nerfed the shit out of gravity impact. Now it doesn't have super armor until the blast comes out.
Not only was that nerf unnecessary because the move was easy to counter play, but it also lead to people learning about Evil Rise Strike which has super armor all the way through, extremely quick start up and does a crapton of damage.
