Why the fuck do you use torches? That's stupid. Half of the trinkets in the game support no light. Torches are a downside. Get a trinket that's -20% chance to be surprised by enemies, and even in the pitch black you'll be surprised maybe once every few dungeons.
Remember: Holy Water is a nice debuff/bleed/blight/etc resistance for 3 turns, so on a boss run you want (Assuming they're always medium):
24 Food
6 Holy Water
3 Shovel
1 Key/Herbs/Antivenom (If its Ruins/Cove/Warrens.)

Camping is only available in Medium and Long length dungeons. Camping can be an amazing way to heal stress, but other than that you can either rely on crits to heal stress or certain dedicated class abilities that heal stress.
when your guys level up they become a lot more resistant to Stress damage, so it's a lot easier to manage later on.

I've been trying to run this game, but everytime I try to it crashes before it even gets to the any screen, it just says "Darkest Dungeon has stopped working" or some shit like that, anyone have any clue on what it could be?
Granted I've been trying to run it on a shitty laptop, but I was able to run a precious build of the game on a laptop as shit as this one I'm on now.

I think you're mixing quirks and afflictions. Afflictions are from getting 100 stress and can only be removed by resting. Quirks are semi-randomly acquired (they can be influenced by various events) and are removed using the Sanitarium, or from having another quirk replace it.

ara can be pretty handy with the healing and provides good back row attacks that the leps/crus cant attact
