Posts like this just make think about the people who post them. Obviously the person is underage, that's a given. But what makes someone post cancer like this.
They can't actually think that's funny. Not even a 10 year old would find shit like that funny.
Maybe they post it as bait for responses like this. But even then, what for. Do they read the response back and laugh to themselves?
I hope the poster reads this and has a look at where their life is right now. I hope you think long and hard about the decisions you're making with life and I hope it keeps you awake at night.

My friends dad had this game which my friend and I played. This was the first time I actually threw up from a video game
Gave me serious nightmares cause I was only 6

No this game
>>321989670
Pretty scary but I think those faggot ghosts near the end are worse, mostly because it's impossible to shoot them all.
I was less than three years old when I played this game. I selected the Ooga Booga chapter and encountered the Boogieman. I did not expect him to pounce me and kidnap me.
After that I had nightmares about the boogieman coming out of my bedroom closet wanting to bake me into a bread so he could eat me.
>>321989918
That was a tad extreme
>>321989830
That would have made me throw up too but no it was actually a video game

>>321990219
I originally found Scissorman to be ridiculously goofy. Hell, I still think so, but the part in the original game where you hide in the attic of the garage and he cuts through the ceiling is terrifying when you don't expect it.

That's pretty gruesome! For some reason creative death sequences was one of my favorite things about old Point and Clicks. Be it the flavor text in Space Quest or animations in games like that.
The only game in recent memory that sort of scratched that itch has been Dead Space, but I'm not a fan of action games so I did not find it quite as enjoyable.
It's not even that I find it cool. It's just this weird whirlwind of grossed out and intrigued that the creators would put effort into making that.

Just reading up on it now about the lengths they had to go to in making everything just right. Cost them heaps to make, took them a long time to get it made and in the end it all worked out good for them in the end.
>>321991614
Should've specified, but I didn't know /v/'s opinion on the game. How can someone miss the point when remaking a game so much?

The 90s were when the limits of acceptable gore in video games was tested
Point and click allowed the creator to put the player into far more creative death sequences than other genres.
Like look at this list.

A lot of these games people never heard of. Harvester is outrageously violent and the actions the player can take are morally reprehensible

As much as I think the remake sucked, that change was actually made in Exoddus. The reasoning was that they are meant to be ads trying to appear appetizing and it didn't fit with the paramite pies/scrab cakes/meech munchies.
>>321992691
I've played through both games (the originals) somewhat recently and I don't remember seeing the Mudokon pops anywhere in the second game. When does the ad appear?
Legit curious.

It's in the cutscene where you enter Fee Co Depot, skip to 1:35 in this video for the exact moment:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itVuljswfn4
>>321993273
When abe jumps on a pump cart train thing to Feeco Depot. he sees the Ad in the cinematic and falls off after a second glance. then you end up at the depot.
Also, bit of fun trivia, the main reason it was changed to that cartoony looking mudokon pop was because the original one was seen as offensive to the japanese. During the time of Oddysee's release, some kid in a school in japan beheaded a fellow student an piked the boys head on the school fence. It was some tragedy at the time. Lorne Lanning was contacted to change this design as it was deemed inappropriate at the time. Hence why its new now.
>>321996000
>>321996195
Well, I can't say I remebered that one.
The more you know then. Thanks, anons. The original will always remain as an untouched gem anyways, so it doesn't matter.
>>321986236
This motherfucker when he started following you
>>321996648
youre 100% right. The original is a fine wine that ages perfectly every time i play it.
>>321996648
Apart from the Mudo Pop redesign and changing the arrangement of Abe's fingers, Exoddus is the superior game IMO.
Not nightmares, but I shut the game off the first time I saw this.
>>321997031
I'd say that the awful saving system in Oddysee is what keeps me from saying otherwise, so I have to agree. Exoddus has -slightly- too many gimmicky mechanics for its own good in my opinion, and the quicksave feature, while useful in pretty much every situation imaginable, makes saving the mudokons somewhat less satsfying.
It's clear why they would do that when coming from the first game, it's too frustrating sometimes to lose your progress.
