I guess that depends on what you consider the Steam Machines, because there's basically no chance at this point that Half Life 3 won't be on Linux/SteamOS before Windows.
If Steam Machines do count as consoles then we should hope for there to be no 'PC exclusives' because the last thing we need are games that are Windows-only. Every dev and publisher should have a plan to have their games on Linux before 2020.

Steam machines are fucking computers running Linux, you can (and should if you have one) format them and install Windows on them. Just because they use smaller mini-itx enclosures doesn't magically make them consoles.

Whole point of SteamOS is to stop the domination of the PC by a console company who has used its position to repeatedly hold back PC gaming for the benefit of their console.
Steam Machines blur the lines because they're an open platform, but they're designed to be used entirely with a gamepad from 10 feet.

Long story short the guys who make one of the softwares they used didn't have a Linux version told them they were making a Linux version constantly. Then suddenly the business shuttered without telling them and they had to make software themselves that WAS Linux compatible that did the same thing.

Don't use third party shit that doesn't already meet all your requirements. Build for the most standard platform first and then customize/optimize for the non-standard platforms. Maintain builds for all platforms simultaneously within the same code base. They continually made grade school level development mistakes.
Thing is those are all things that happen routinely. Larian's big mistake was being incredibly dishonest about what the issue was and what they were doing to fix it and then going forward with a console version ahead of a previously announced version after they had that issue sorted out.

I didn't like 2 as much as 1. The dungeons were so incredibly atmospheric, while the outdoor environments in 2 are just sort of... there. Also, fuck those immortal Air Elementals that appear even if you don't have Dispel, and actively push you away so you can get stuck in corners with no way out.
