No, you pay to pay.

There are no games. You just pay and kill yourself. You thought there would be an end, there is no end. Even death will not save you.

This and EA access would be good value if the included the brand new games like need for speed and battlefront but they only include games that have been out for about a year.
>>
That's not a terrible deal but I have no faith that they'll regularly add any games anyone hasn't already played but wants to that aren't $5 on sale.
Ok collection to start though if you aren't interested in DLC for those games or shit like Ultimate Team which this is clearly designed to sell.

My main gripes are the vehicle whores, how 90% of the servers are instant vehicle respawn, and how they completely ruined Rush. I had 300 hours logged on BF3, and I'd say 90% of that was playing Rush. I still can't get over how they butchered my favorite game mode just so vehicle campers could have maps better suited to them.

If you have steam installed, you have no right to bitch about origin being intrusive or a botnet, because they do the exact same thing, as far as parsing your files and hardware.

Hating EA used to be reasonable and rational, with over-priced DLC, buying smaller studios then killing them, etc.

But they were never 100% devoid of good points. I quite enjoyed BC1/2 and Mirror's Edge.

yeah but if you're just gonna play the game once and then never touch it again it's not bad.
>>

Apart from the popup that takes a whole second to close, Origin does not really "shove" ads in your face. Moreover, sometimes those ads are for their "On the House" deals.

I don't like EA that much as it is kind of creatively bankrupt with the titles it releases, but Origin is not the worst thing in the world.
>>
>>323704762
I actually believe it's quite an alright deal. For 5$ you could play the entire Dead Space franchise, for example, then just cancel your subscription again. These days I usually don't play most games for more than 10 or 15 hours, except for my absolute favorites, so if I hadn't played most of the games offered yet, I would just subscribe for a month, play a few games and then cancel and forget about it again.

This would be great, if most of the games that they have available were not already discounted to 5 dollars or less, and the library were bigger than 2 1/2 rows.
>>
this honestly seems like not a bad deal, you can basically pay $5 for any game on the list. the tradeoff is that you don't own it

it's not like the other way is going away, so i don't mind this at all

Might do that.

As far as EA games goes i'l looking forward to Mirror's Edge 2 and ME Andromeda and as far as my expectations of said games... i hope they are good but i expect mediocrity.
>>
Seems like a cheaper and EA only version of gamefly. Doesn't look that bad desu

How do we get people to use our software? I know, let's take our games off our competitors markets and only offer them here for console prices! Also lets not give any incentives to a consumer base that already hates us!

EA may not be the evil company everyone loves to make them out to be, but they are nothing short of retarded when it comes to marketing. All we needed on release is a couple of games or promos for cheap games that are years old. Now they are moving to the fucking Adobe price model, and I honestly don't know what's worse
>>
>>323705849
they give away free games each month.
>>
Shit I thought that the whole origin library would be free if you pay this monthlee sub .
But instead you just get 10% off for all games and you can play few days before actual release

Origin gives away a couple free games every so often in a similar fasion to PS+ or XBL.

Also Orign brought some life back to BF1942 for a while.
>>
>>323705849
>How do we get people to use our software?
They give out quite a few games for free. Granted it's not new release $60 games, but still.

>Now they are moving to the fucking Adobe price model

I mean you can still buy the games regularly. It's not like the games they have are locked behind a $4.99 a month paywall or anything. This is completely optional from what I'm seeing.
>>
>>323695462
>fucking Netflix for games

Yeah... PC wins NOT for that reason. It'll never be for that reason.
>>
>>323706209
thats the same as Origin though.
>>
>>323705292
I never really liked rentals, and it was mostly only okay then because that was the cheapest and easiest way to get shit at the time. Nowadays, there's not really any point in renting when a lot of shit is cheap enough to keep permanently, not to mention more reason to keep them permanently.
>>
>>323695462
Do you get battlefield 4 with all expansions?
>>
>>323706473
Well, at least steam has more games
>>
>>323704921
And Steam is the only platform where you can buy Valve games. It's also the only platform where a bunch of other games can be purchased.

EA didn't want to be bound by Valve so they made their own distribution platform. It's the same reason why Ubisoft made UPlay.
>>
>>323701912
Yeah nvidia make it first!
>>
>>323704862
Not him, but I just close those as soon as they pop up and have done so for years, and I couldn't remember them either
>>
>>323706476
I suppose it differs from person to person, because I don't mind renting games at all. The games I'm really looking forward to each year I want to buy, of course, but those are only a few.
Most games these days I play once and then never touch again. I'll probably never install 80% of my Steam library ever again, so if renting those games would have been cheaper than buying, I might as well just have done that instead.

I'm honest, I'd subscribe to something like a Steam Gold.

Except Ubi are ten times more retarded since they still release their games on steam thus being "limited" by valve and at the same time forcind that crapware down evreyone's throats for absolutely no reason. I crack all the Ubi games I buy and i should probably just pirate them.

Dead Space 3 was alright but it's definitely the weakest game in the series.

One one of the creepiest parts is when you reach the ship that has the big ass door they shut to quarantine all of the Necromorphs.

It has all of these messages written on it to the people that didn't make it out in time, like "FORIVE US" and shit.

I have EA Access on Xbox One already, I don't think it's a terrible deal and it makes sense for EA to try and get people playing the last years (or year before) sports game to try and hook them.
I mean, you can scream 'boo EA' or whatever, but dollar to hour entertainment; if you play a lot, it's not bad at all.
