So I'm watching this for the first time right now. I have the whole series next to me and I plan on marathoning through. My question is what are the good Alien video games?

Isolation and infestation are the only two good alien games.
If you like the idea of the alien and predator sharing a universe, all three AVP games are decent, with AVP2 being the best of the trilogy.
Alien Isolation is great. Play it after you watch Alien 3 (weakest movie in the series).

The arcade games were all pretty damn solid, though I haven't checked in years to find if any of them are available on something like Steam, PSN, or XBLA.
As for console made games, the AvP games are generally solid, even the most recent one is pretty fun if you can ignore some underwhelming moments.
Isolation is really good, but can wear on if you're the type who prefers shorter and to the point conclusions with a game. Not to mention the "evolving" AI can be a bit obtuse at times.

Alien Isolation is /the/ Alien Movie experience. Period. There are other fun games, most of them actionative. But if you want to be ripley sneaking around being hunted by an infernal alien rapebeast, then boot up that Alien Iso asap. Set its difficult to Hard, that is the movie experience. Second one had the most disturbing scene in any movie ever to me. The alien that burst from a predators chest (end of avp1) goes into a hospital up to the maternity ward and starts mouthing alien things down the pregnant women's throats and into their stomach presumably eating the baby inside and making them burst out later. I can't deal with babies dying in movies.. they're so fragile and innocent.. pretty sure it flat out kills some of the screaming women. Both are decent movies if you like the alien/predator creatures, but not the best stories or acting at all.
Creative Assembly will never make an Isolation style game set during an Aliens or AVP scenario where you're an average guy trying to survive.
Not that I wouldn't mind being a marine again, but it's become boring compared to the tension that Isolation offers.

I just keep imagining making a slow trek back to the hub area with a smart gun I found. Pretty much, but the source material is more from Alien though. There is a hiveno queen, although CA CLAIMS there is one, but it was cut/never implemented. Some fans speculate the Alien using eggmorphing from the original Alien draft.
