I'm still playing the first one thanks to CFW.
I'm up to the first mission of the last Hanzo chapter. I was planning on trying to get a 100% completion mark on the game but then I realised I'd need to complete every mission with every character and I don't have the time for that. I'll complete every mission and maybe try to frantic clear them all but that's it. I'm moving on to SK2 after that.

Fuck that. EV and SK2 are both good in their own rights, although I do prefer EV slightly due to preferring its gameplay style. They are considerably different in basically everything (tone, story style, combat, etc), so it's not fair to compare them.
Is the Bon Appetit DLC worth buying?
I honestly really dig the music. The intermission parts where it says who made the superior dish get me pumped.

So here's a question:
Do you think the Nintendo NX will get any SK games? I'm pretty sure the 3DS games are considered less popular than SV and EV, but I think it's more an issue of the superior graffix on Playstation platforms.
Really short.
Story feels like filler for the most part and very little is actually resolved.
The Giant Yoma fights have neat designs but the actual fights are a drag because they're just damage sponges with few attacks.
Stage variety is awful and about 80% of stages consist of the same backdrop.
Boss fights against other characters feel more spammy than usual.
The Tag Team Ninpo are neat the first few times but ultimately don't add much to the game.
Cave of Yoma just feels like a sorry excuse to try and extend playtime, but the weapon skins you can unlock from it are cool.
Overall it's another mediocre beat em' up like the rest of the series.

I don't think grafix have that much to do with it. SK2 has better models and animations than SV did yet it still sold like poop.
Nothing against Nintendo, but the main fanbase just doesn't seem to be on the 3DS. Most devs probably would have jumped ship at this point but Takaki is based and wants everyone to enjoy the games on every console.

I cant see them make an NX exclusive unless it suddenly for no reason sells Wii numbers.
But if the NX is easy to port to, sure, why not. It's a platform that will be popular in Japan to some degree so there is a potential audience. Might as well go get some dosh from them. Cant imagine Sony would make a big stink over a series like SK, especially since they'll still have more otaku and weebs on their system

Hit the nail on the head. I have absolutely nothing against Nintendo since I'm an idort, but most peple who purchase Nintendo products are buying Mario and the occasional Atlus game.
Gameplaywise there isn't much variety once you get past every girl having a different weapon. The game is okay but you have to cheese most of the bosses with the helm splitter and ninpo to get in any decent damage/stagger them for a second

Still struggling to play 2. It's very hard to enjoy the combat in 2 after playing EV first and the sudden disappearance of 2 game's worth of character progression is super jarring.

The character progression didn't vanish. SV and EV are on a completely different timeline. Burst acts as the starting point for the entire series, but SV and SK2 are a split in the timeline.

What I mean is I've gone from Yomi, Ikarugi and Murakumo being best friends forever to going back two years and now Yomi is throwing bitchfits at Ikaruga and Murakumo doesn't exist like I'm back in Burst.

Probably not likely. VD was made specifically with yuri in mind while SK has always been ambiguous about it since the beginning outside of cases like Imu and Yagyu.
